Privacy Policy
What CityPulse collects, why, and your choices. Last updated 2026-06-08. Founder-approved for launch; independent counsel review pending. Not legal advice.
What we collect
When you run a property check we record the BBL you searched. When you purchase a memo we record your email address and order/payment metadata (order id, Stripe session and payment-intent identifiers, amount, and any marketing-attribution parameters such as utm_source on the link you arrived from). Across the site we also keep technical usage logs that include a one-way hashed form of your IP address, your browser user-agent, and a first-party session identifier.
Cookies
We set one first-party session cookie (named citypulse_session) to maintain your session; it expires after about 90 days. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach CityPulse servers; CityPulse does not store full card numbers.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver the memo you paid for, to operate and secure the service, to prevent abuse, and to provide support. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service — payment processing (Stripe) and hosting/infrastructure. We do not currently use third-party analytics or email-marketing vendors.
Data sources
CityPulse analyzes NYC public-record data. Property and building information shown is drawn from public records, not from you.
Retention
We retain order, delivery, and support records for as long as needed to deliver and support your purchase and to meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Technical logs are kept for operational and security purposes.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards: payments are tokenized at Stripe, IP addresses are stored only in hashed form, and the session cookie is HTTP-only. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices & requests
To ask about, access, or request deletion of the data associated with your order, contact Support with your order id. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (for example under CCPA/CPRA or GDPR); contact Support to exercise them.
Changes & note
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version. This is a high-level summary, not an exhaustive legal notice, and should be finalized by qualified counsel before publication.
